Our financial coordinators research your orthodontic insurance and inform you of these benefits when you have your orthodontic consultation. When orthodontic treatment starts, your insurance will be billed for the insurance benefits. Orthodontic benefits are usually paid on a monthly or quarterly basis spread over the term of the treatment. We gladly accept assignments of benefits for orthodontic insurance
About Insurance
Dental insurance is a benefit agreement between you and your employer and, as a courtesy we will submit your orthodontic claims. Unfortunately, this process does not guarantee benefits. The information we gather from your insurance carrier is based on the current benefit contract, and occasionally the insurance agent will be inaccurate. Benefit information gathered does not authorize any payment to Sing Orthodontics, it merely clarifies an estimate of benefits.
You are responsible for any balance on your insurance account as well as your main account, and we have noted the balance on both of these ledgers on your monthly statement. Please note that the portion of your statement which reads, “Total Due Insurance” informs you about the portion still unpaid by the insurance carrier, and is also considered your balance due.
It is important that you inform us immediately if you’ve had any changes which affect your insurance benefits. This may include changes in insurance carrier for your employer, changes in employment (i.e., a new job), converting to a COBRA contract or the discontinuation of insurance altogether. Since orthodontic benefits are paid during the duration of treatment, any changes made will impact the balance on your full contract with us.
We are happy to assist you in submitting claims as well as researching and verifying benefits. We ask that you keep us well informed so we may efficiently manage your accounts at Sing orthodontics. If you receive any information from your insurance carrier directly, please let us know. We can help you expedite the process of providing information that your carrier needs. Also, it is important to provide the information they are requesting in a timely manner in order to ensure your continuation of benefits. By working together, we can try and maximize your benefits and reduce your out of pocket expenses.
