Dr. Michael Robert Patton
R. Michael Patton, DMD, MBA is a native Texan from Fort Worth. He has been practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Austin since 1983. Dr. Patton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1971, and a Master of Science in Microbiology from the University of Kentucky in 1975. He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1979, then completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center Houston in June, 1983. In 2007 Dr. Patton received a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in health care management from Texas Technological University in Lubbock, Texas.
Dr. Patton is proud to be associated with Sing Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry. Over the years, he has practiced the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He now concentrates on dentoalveolar surgery, preprosthetic surgery, the diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial pathology and the treatment of oral and facial trauma. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Tenth District Dental Society, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Patton and his wife, Shannon, have 2 children and three grandchildren. Dr. Patton’s outside interests include travel, music, tennis and spectator sports.
